Effect of Classical Music on Physiological Characteristics and Observational and Behavioral Measures of Pain in Unconscious Patients Admitted to Intensive Care Units

Objective: Assessment and management of pain in patients under artificial respiration hospitalized Intensive Care Units (ICUs) are difficult, is less considered by physicians nurses. This study aims to determine the effect classical music on physiological characteristics, observational behavioral measures unconscious admitted ICUs. Methods: a quasi-experimental conducted 2019 30 ICU Shohadaye Haft-e-Tir Hospital Tehran, Iran, who were selected using convenience sampling method, divided into two groups intervention control. After obtaining written informed consent from participate, they completed demographic/physiological form, Critical Pain Observation Tool (COPT) Behavioral Scale (BPC). Collected data analyzed SPSS V. 22 software descriptive inferential statistics. Results: The Mean±SD age control was 40.33±14.01 46±15.70 years, respectively.
